Dear Morris Families,

Thank you all for making Teacher Appreciation Week so special! The staff and I are deeply grateful for the incredible support we receive from this community. Your kind gestures, thoughtful notes, and generous contributions made our week truly memorable. We feel fortunate to partner with such caring and committed families.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms, grandmas, aunts, and other important women in our students’ lives. Your love, guidance, and support make a difference every day, and we celebrate you!

Tick Season Reminder
With spring’s arrival comes tick season. We’ve noticed a few ticks on the playground recently. Please check your child for ticks at the end of each day to help keep them safe and healthy.

🧮 Math MCAS Testing

This week, students in Grades 3 and 5 will begin the Math MCAS. This assessment provides valuable insight into student understanding of Massachusetts math standards.
Please help your child feel prepared by encouraging:

• A good night’s sleep

• A healthy breakfast

• A positive mindset!

Testing Dates:

• Grade 5: May 12 & 13

• Grade 3: May 15 & 16

🔬 Science MCAS (Grade 5 Only)

• Testing Dates: May 19 & 20

As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we want to inform you of an additional step in our background check process. To further ensure the safety of our students, anyone submitting a CORI request—including employees, volunteers, subcontractors, and others—must now also complete a DCF Background Check Form.

• As CORIs expire part of the new process will also be a DCF Background Check Form.
• All new CORI request will include a DCF Background check.
