The mission of George Bannerman Dealey is to provide an exemplary education that develops and empowers all students to become productive citizens in our global society.

Happy 3rd Week of School Dealey Community!

I love a good story! I have probably read hundreds of books over the years. I have never opened a book and on the first page it stated “And they all lived happily ever after “. Have you? We have hundreds of heroes in the Dealey community. I’ve never read a story with the hero never encountering the villain and adversity assigned to their story.

When I heard about how this Montessori school program began at Hotchkiss ES, I was intrigued. I was fascinated to hear about how Ms. Villegas , Mr. Mitchell & Ms. Hervey along with the original staff moved into the Dealey building over 30 years ago.

Our story is full of chapters, characters, and scenes. My question to every member of our community including myself is very simple. What role are we going to play in our story?

As a mother and educator, our children and their futures are very important to me. Our story is about love. Our story is about perseverance. Our story is about everyday heroes positively changing the trajectory of this community’s story. This is a story about heroes.

PK-5 Homework Grades

Grades from homework assignments may not be recorded in the gradebook or used in the calculation of nine-week grades for students in Pre-Kindergarten- Grade 5/6

Middle School Homework Grades

Grades from homework assignments may not be recorded in the gradebook or used in the calculation of nine-week grades for students in grades 6-8. If the homework assignment/task is part of a long-term project or task, the final long-term project or task may be recorded as a classwork grade for the nine-week grading period.

Thanks so much to those of you who joined us last week for our first Camp Grady Spruce meeting this school year. If you didn't make it and watch the recording, please make sure you fill out the Attendance Form, so we have documentation for the district.

Girls on the Run was developed to inspire girls to value what makes them unique! Our program facilitates ways for girls to gain confidence, build social skills, and realize their incredible potential. No running experience required.

Registration period is open through September 9th on a first come, first serve basis. Program is capped at 12 girls.
