Playing Together
Sprague School staff believes strongly in educating students on the importance of playing together at recess and during other free time activities. They stress to students why it is important to include everyone as this PowerPoint presented to students by Principal Ann Hofmeier illustrates:
💜 Kindness matters – Being nice feels good for everyone.😍 More friends – Games are better with many players.
⭐ Everyone is special – We all have awesome talents to share.
Mrs. Hofmeier uses school mascot Stripes’ story to impress how the little tiger made friends.
👋 Say hello – Stripes greets everyone with a smile.🛝 Invite others – Stripes asks if others want to play.
🪀 Share toys – Stripes takes turns with everyone.
The Everyone Plays Together PowerPoint emphasizes individual differences that make each learner special. It goes on to share how students can include others in their activities and how doing that can make a difference.

Moving?
If your family is moving and not planning to return to Sprague School/District 103 next year, please inform the school office at your earliest convenience so we can plan classroom placements accurately. You may email the Sprague office at spschool@d103.org.
AI Guidelines Feedback Opportunities
D103 is in the process of refining AI guidelines for our students and staff, and we would love to hear your thoughts. We are creating two pathways for parents/guardians to provide feedback on the guidelines.
First, we are planning to form a small group of parents/guardians to meet and provide initial feedback on the guidelines. Depending on the interest in being a part of this group, we may have to limit the number of participants by using a random selection method. If you are interested in being a part of this small group, please fill out this Google form by Tuesday, April 29.
Second, after refining the guidelines with the input of the small team, we will then send the guidelines to all families to seek additional feedback.
If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to Dr. Craig Chatham, Director of Technology & Assessment, at cchatham@d103.org.

Check out the lost at Sprague School for items your child may be missing or winter wear you would like to store away for spring. Forgotten items include coats, boots, gloves, and water bottles. Ask your child to visit the lost & found bins if something is missing. Please remember to clearly write your child's name on these items. The school will donate unclaimed items on Thursday, May 1.
Parent Input Form for Class Placement
At Sprague, we believe that home-school collaboration creates the best possible placement for students.
The creation of classes is an important process for our students where staff collectively looks at the needs of individuals, groups, the balance of academics, and social-emotional needs, to create healthy learning groups and environments.
If you wish to share information on your child, this is your opportunity to do so by completing this parent input form by Friday, April 18. The input you provide will be reviewed and considered as we begin planning for your child's upcoming school year. While specific teacher requests cannot be accommodated, your insight is valued. We look forward to providing your child with continued learning excellence. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with your child's team.
Tech Night
Second-graders and their families are invited to a new event! Mr. Vasey and Ms. Lenzini will be hosting tech nights this spring for second-graders to show them some of the technology skills they have acquired during their time at Sprague! Please check the day and time of your child's class tech night below as determined by their teacher's name. Students may only attend during the time and day of their class so that we are equipped with the proper devices. We tried to keep twins on the same day and time, but were unable to accommodate everyone in this way. If you have twins and their classes are not on the same day or time, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Lenzini at llenzini@d103.org and we will make it work for you! Grown-ups, please come prepared to work with your child. We look forward to seeing you!
