Dr. Barker's Weekly Report 9.29.24
9/29/24 - Volume 6, Issue 7
Dr. Barker's Message
Good Evening Everyone!
There are just a few items I'd like to bring to your attention to this week. Our College and Career Center has a number of great schools visiting this week. Please take a moment to review the list provided in the Upcoming College Visits section.
Additionally, we encourage all WEST students to get involved in clubs, activities, and/or extra curricular activities during their time in high school. Please take this opportunity to review the Clubs @ West section, sign up, or create your own club!
Finally, all 10th and 11th grade students will have the opportunity to take the PSAT during the school day on October 10th. This is an excellent chance for students to identify areas of strength as well as areas for continued improvement prior to taking the SATs. The results are typically provided to students in December and can be uploaded to Khan Academy for individual skills practice.
Have a great week WEST!
Kurt Barker, Ed.D.
Principal, DHS WEST
