This week the Advisory classes will start the first unit of the Second Step-Middle School program. This program is taught for 2 days (Tues/Wed) in Advisory and a different lesson each week.

ParenTeen Connect

This free, public resource features videos, information, and useful advice to help teens and the adults in their lives address hot-button topics. The site complements the Second Step Middle School program both as a stand-alone parent resource and in connection with Second Step Middle School classroom activities.

MP SCHOOLS ATTENDANCE POLICY 2024-2025

MPMS provides an after school support for academics called Oiler Hour. Students stay after school from 2:45-3:45 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The permission slip is here if you would like to complete one. We do send home invites to students with failing grades as well.

Doors open at 7:25. Free breakfast will be served in the cafeteria this school year until 7:37. Students who would like breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria.

For delays, students who attend Math at the HS will still attend. Elementary students who attend Math at MPMS will NOT attend on delay days.

For Elementary Students Attending MPMS

• These students WILL NOT attend on most days that alter the daily schedule, including delay days, half days, and days where MPMS students start with first hour. One issue is that there may not be a bus available to transport them back to their elementary schools. Another issue on delay days is that they will be finished with their MPMS math class long before their elementary start time.

• The only exception to this rule will be days where they will be taking their trimester exams. They will indeed attend on exam days, even with the change in schedule.

For MPMS Students Attending MPHS

• These students WILL attend on delay days, half days, and all other irregular days unless otherwise instructed by their MPHS Math/French teacher.

*If parents would like their children to still attend on irregular days, it is certainly their option to still send them with the understanding that they are responsible for transportation both ways.
