GLOW GAZETTE
FEBRUARY 10, 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
GLOW Students & Families,
We had another great week at GLOW last week, and it ended with our 8th Annual Cool Women Hot Jobs event on Friday. We were excited to welcome 100 "cool" professional women from southeastern NC to share their professional journeys and information about their "hot jobs" with our students. I'm not sure who enjoyed Friday more....our volunteers or our students. It was a wonderful day!
We finished the day with another Senior Spotlight, recognizing our seniors who have received college acceptances over the past month! We are excited to share that as of last week our senior class has amassed more than $2.3 million dollars in Merit Scholarships. We continue to be impressed by the many accomplishments of our Class of 2025!
We are looking forward to another great week, but as a reminder, this coming week won't get started for students until Tuesday. Monday is a Teacher Workday at GLOW, with no school for students. We look forward to seeing all students back at school on Tuesday!
Wishing you all a great week ahead!
Kate B. Tayloe
Principal
