Here are the 3 important news items you need for this week!

1. The new semester started January 6. Please make sure you start strong and stay on top of all assignments. It's easier to stay on top of things when you work on all classes each day or stay on top of assignments each week.
2. Be sure to keep up with your communications with your mentor each week! Remember that this is how we take attendance.
3. In person support is available each week. This week the dates and times are a little different due to exams and 1/2 days of school this week. See the schedule below.

This week the schedule is a little different due to the district calendar. These are the dates and times that Mr. Eldred will be there:

Monday, March 3 10:00-2:00

Tuesday, March 4 9:15-1:00

Please note that there will be no lunch available on Tuesday, March 4.

Every OVA student is assigned a mentor teacher. Every Wednesday, the mentor teacher will reach out to the students they are working with with a short assignment. Students are expected to communicate back with their teacher or mentor. Each week, each student must respond to at least two communications with their teacher or mentor. The week starts on Wednesday and ends on Tuesday. This is a requirement and how attendance is taken at OVA. Attendance plays an important role in the success of the student in the OVA program. Please be sure to communicate with your teacher and/or mentor teacher.

We're excited to share more this week on the May 2025 Bond Extension Proposal. We hope you were able to check out the Bond website last week! This week, we want to share the projects within the bond that impact our building specifically.

This proposal does not increase our mill rate - it's a ZERO mill increase request; voters will consider the measure to extend our current rate which would allow Otsego $46.5 million for improvements, upgrades and additions district-wide. The plan is future-focused, student-centered and community-driven.

Please look over our building improvements and be sure to check out the entire scope of the proposal on the Bond Extension website. You can learn more, ask questions and get involved at one of our Community Conversations, as well. Join Supt. Haase at one of the following gatherings:

• March 13th - 6pm - Otsego District Library
• March 18th - 6pm - Alamo Elementary
• March 19th - 6pm - Otsego High School
