5th Annual CYSD Engineering Design Competition
Are you interested in engineering, problem-solving, or product design? Want to work with CAD software and 3D printers? Or are you competitive and excited for a chance to win cash awards?
If so, the 5th Annual CYSD Engineering Design Competition is here, and we’re looking for all passionate problem solvers ready to take on the challenge! Hosted by the High School Tech Ed Department in partnership with St. Onge Supply Chain Engineering Company, this competition is open to all high school and middle school students.
The theme is “Innovation – Product Improvement”. Pick a product that breaks easily, is uncomfortable to use, or could simply work better, then design a new and improved version!
For more details, resources, and to register, scan the QR code on the screen or any of the EDC posters around the school. Register by December 15th; the earlier, the better! All design submissions will be due by April 5th, 2025.
Get out this winter with the CYHS Ski and Snowboard Club! It’s a great opportunity to get on the mountain….all abilities are welcome! Rountop Mountain has awesome lesson, lift, and rental packages for students new to the sport or seasoned mountain warriors! We’ll be going three Thursdays after school this winter: January 30, February 6, and February 13, 2025. If you already have an Epic Pass, hop on the bus! $50 for bus transportation for all three nights. Check out the website for all the details: https://sites.google.com/cypanthers.org/skiclub
School Lunches Update
High School lunches are $3.00 each day. A la carte items from other food lines are available at an additional cost.
Students with a negative food account balance of $5.00 or more cannot add the additional a la carte items from the alternative food lines to their meals. The daily lunch menu meal will still be available for these students.
If your student has a negative account balance, which can be viewed in Skyward, you may deposit funds to their account using the online Revtrak system (Deposit Meal Account Funds Online) or by sending a check with your student to school. Please make checks payable to “Central York School District.” Checks may be given to the cashiers in the cafeteria for deposit into the student’s food services account. If you cannot log in to Skyward, please email familyaccess@cysd.k12.pa.us to update your contact information or reset your account password.
Please complete the Free and Reduced Meal Program application if you need assistance, Free and Reduced Meal Program. If you need additional information or assistance, don't hesitate to contact your student's school counselor or assistant principal.
