A note from our principal
Dear CFC families,
As we embrace the second month of the 24/25 school year, I am thrilled by the progress we’ve made together already. Each day, I witness our school's creativity and resilience, and it’s inspiring to see both students and staff pushing their boundaries in new ways. Homecoming week was a big hit all around. The positivity, engagement, spirit could be seen throughout the week as students participated in events and earned tickets toward raffle baskets. Staff went all out, planning events from movie trivia to bobbing for apples and even a limbo competition. A number of lucky students got to pie a staff member in the face! We wrapped up the fun with the 2nd annual staff vs students ball game, with staff redeeming themselves from last years loss in a 6:3 win. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
Warm regards,
Danielle Fowler-Koenig

Upcoming Event
Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age
As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, we invite parents and guardians with students in grade 5-12 to join us for an important event, Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age. The Stevens Point Police Department (SPPD) will be leading the session, focusing on online safety from a law enforcement perspective.
With the growing influence of social media and online interactions, it’s more important than ever to understand the potential risks children face in the digital world. The SPPD will provide practical tips and strategies to help parents protect their children from online dangers, including cyberbullying, online predators, and privacy issues.
Event Details:
- Date: October 16, 2024
- Time: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
- Location: SPASH Library
This free event will also include a Q&A session, offering parents the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights. We encourage all families to attend and learn how to navigate the challenges of online safety in today's digital age.
Changes to the Mifi Program
Dear Families,
Due to the ending of the Emergency Connectivity Fund, MiFi's will not be given to every student that applies for one. For the 2024-2025 school year, any family with a verified financial need may request a hotspot. Families should complete one paper form for each student and return it to the school office as soon as possible. If the application is approved, the hotspot will be distributed to the student's school and delivered to the student.
To apply, fill out this application and return it to the school office.

Program Spotlight
Achieve 3000
Literacy and reading proficiency are critical skills for success in school, work, and life beyond high school. Achieve 3000 is a learning initiative aimed at accelerating reading growth for all students via differentiated instruction. It's been proven to double and even triple expected reading gains in one school year. At CFC we incorporate Achieve 3000 lessons into our weekly schedule to ensure students graduate with the skills needed to succeed.
Learner Spotlight
Each month we will feature a learner or learners who contributed to our positive school culture.
- Name/session - Lilyana Kusch/PM session with Ms. Smith

- Plans after graduation - too soon to tell
Staff Spotlight
Each month we will highlight a staff member or classroom team. This month we highlight our principal Mrs. Koenig!
- Name/Current role - Mrs. Koenig / CFC Principal
