Norton Middle School

Please check the schedule to refresh your mind on your date and location. I have included the requirements of your assigned location. Due to the temperatures this week, attire for the clean-out can be shorts and a t-shirts. If you would like to bring a fan for your assigned location, you are welcome to do so.

Some of the teams are exploring online planners. I have been told that ProgressBook and Google Classroom both offer an online planner. I was told that adding an assignment to your gradebook, automatically posts it to a student's ProgressBook planner.

As you review options over the summer, this may be a great place to start. Mrs. Gabel can serve as a resource for questions.

Some grades have opted to stay with a hard copy, which is perfectly fine. An order will not be placed until mid to late July.

Do you have a colleague who has deserves a nomination for the Arlen Award? What silly, ridiculous thing has Mr. Gaugler done this year (just teasing Dan)? Some traditions cannot be forgotten. If you would like to nominate a colleague for this dubious award please send me the nomination.

I apologize in the delay of getting your "check-out" packet to you. We have streamlined much of it with a few new additions. Do not feel as though you must print it out and have it ready when you arrive at school. We will have hard copies available when you arrive for your shift.

It is difficult to say good bye when it seems as though that happened back in March. Although our paths may no longer cross daily, we know you have left a piece of your heart with us at Norton Middle School. Keep us posted on your adventures! Best Wishes from those you leave behind........

As we wrap-up this school year, it cannot be stated frequently enough, you guys rose to the occasion! No matter what the request was, you eagerly adjusted your sail and met the requirement! None of you ever gave-up on a student and continued to reach out to your students even though the contact was frequently fruitless. I am extremely proud to be your principal.

As we move through the next eight weeks, check email frequently or watch your remind app., we may need your input as we begin to navigate what next year will look like.

In the mean time, relax, decompress and enjoy the summer sunshine. Thanks for all you do! It is deeply appreciated.
