We’re excited to invite you to our Title I Math Night this Thursday! It’s a fun, engaging evening designed to help students and families explore math together. Whether you’re looking for new ways to support learning at home or just want to have some fun with math, we’ve got something for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you there for a night of games, activities, and lots of learning! This is a great opportunity to connect with other families and help your child develop a love for math.

The Children's Museum of Houston is heading to the RANCH!

This event is FREE for our MRE families. Each family in attendance will receive one free family pass for a future visit to the Children's Museum of Houston. Our teachers and staff will also be participating in the fun learning stations! Come join us!

At Morton Ranch Elementary, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are vital for our students' success. We’re excited to announce several upcoming family engagement opportunities designed to foster community and support your child’s learning journey.

1. Title I Math Night (Children's Museum of Houston Visits MRE):
Join us on November 7th for an evening fun filled activities that support your child's learning. This is a FREE event for our families.

2. Parent-Teacher Conferences:
Have you met with your child's teacher this semester? This is a great chance to discuss your child's progress and how we can work together to support their learning. Contact your child's teacher to request a conference.

3. Volunteer Opportunities:
We’re always looking for volunteers to help with events and classroom projects. If you’re interested, please RSVP for our next volunteer work day. Interested in becoming a W.A.T.C.H. Dog? Would you like to volunteer for school events? Make sure you follow our MRE Parent Teacher Association for volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.

4. Honor a Family Member for Veteran's Day:

We would like to honor the veterans in the Morton Ranch community by creating an Honor Wall where each Veteran will be displayed for our students to see on Veteran's Day. If you or an immediate family member is a veteran of a branch of the military, please submit their information by November 7th. Please review the directions posted HERE.

5. T3 Series Family Event (ZOOM): As part of the Title III initiatives, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is offering a family engagement event for parents of emergent bilingual (EB) and immigrant students in grades PK-12. This family outreach and training provides parents with the required parent and family literacy services, activities, and trainings needed to improve their English language skills. We encourage you to participate in these events and share your thoughts on how we can continue to strengthen our partnership. Your involvement makes a significant difference in our school community!

Get ready for a magical encounter as Santa Claus himself pays a visit to spread holiday cheer! Bring the whole family for a special meet and greet event, where kids can share their wishes, snap festive photos, and experience the JOY of the season.

Please ensure that the school nurse is updated with any changes to your child’s medical information. Remember to ensure that the school has correct and updated phone numbers where you can be reached; and that you have added emergency contacts to your child’s enrollment information card.

Learning, eating and using the restroom can be messy for young students. Please send the following items so we can be prepared for a messy situation at school.

Although bathroom accidents are more common in younger children, ALL children at MRE should have an extra set of clothes. Nosebleeds, vomit, and and messy situations happen!

We aim to return students to their instructional setting quickly! Having a change of clothes ensures that students are not waiting for long periods of time in the clinic as they wait for parents to bring clothes to campus.
