RAM BULLETIN
August 25, 2024
Principal's Message
We have been working on rewarding students who are safe, responsible, and respectful. One way students can show Ram pride is by following all school rules. This week we will be highlighting students who show respect in and out of the classroom. Showing respect is listening to staff members when they give directions, being kind to other students and staff, and using appropriate language while on campus. Students can earn Ram bucks to visit our Ram Store on Fridays for being respectful. Please ask your children how they are going to be respectful this week.

Panorama Survey Information
Parents/Guardians of Students in Grades 3-12:
We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our district. As you may already be aware, building our social-emotional learning skills is an important goal for our schools this year. The second survey cycle will be in February.
We are asking that all of our 3rd-12th grade students participate in the 15 minute survey, as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve our programs to better support the school climate and culture. The survey responses are confidential and are accessible to administration, leadership team, and counselors. They will use the data to strengthen schoolwide support. If your child needs additional support the school counselor will contact you.
The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on Self-Efficacy, Social Awareness, Emotional Regulation, Sense of Belonging, Positive Feelings, and Challenging Feelings.
Students will be able to access the necessary support to take the survey, such as speech to text. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether.
Below are links to the survey questions your child will be asked.
Student SEL & Competencies 3-5
Student SEL & Competencies 6-12
We are partnering with a third-party vendor to support us in administering these surveys and all student information is confidential and is in alignment with the district's privacy agreement.
If you have any questions about the SEL survey, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (209) 331-7976 or abrice@lodiusd.net.
If you wish to have your child opt-out of the survey, please contact your child’s school no later than August 27.
Sincerely,

Smartphone Use Thought Exchange
Many school districts have implemented or are on their way to implementing policies that address smartphone use by students during the school day and the governor has voiced his support on a number of occasions. We believe it is important to gather input from students, staff and our families as we develop our policy.
Each thought exchange will launch Sunday at 6:00 pm and close Friday, August 30 at 11:59 pm
