Picture Retake Day, Q2 Progress Reports & Upcoming Scholastic Book Fair
Dear New Field families,
It is so wonderful to be back on site - while engaging in professional learning and an international exchange was inspiring and though provoking, I missed our community and our students every day. Having an opportunity to step back and reflect on our work, I am so proud of our relentless focus on supporting the holistic development of our children, our tireless commitment to our most vulnerable populations and our efforts to provide the highest quality instruction that meets individual student needs.
As we step into Week 13 we have a few important events to be aware of:
Picture Retake Day is Wednesday, November 13 from 9:00 - 12:00.
Picture Retake Day is for students that were absent for fall photos or for families that are requesting a retake. If you are requesting a retake photo:
- Email your child's classroom teacher
- Ensure you return your child's photo proof that was sent home on Friday, November 15
Tropical Optical will be on site at New Field on Thursday, November 21 & Friday, November 22. Eye exams will take place for students who have submitted signed consent forms, returned from the beginning-of-year health packets.
Q2 Progress Reports will be sent home in your child's backpack on Friday, November 20. As a reminder, you can always stay on top of your child's attendance and grades in real time by logging into your ASPEN Parent Portal Account.
Schools are closed Monday, November 25 - Friday, November 29 for fall break and the observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Students resume school on Monday, December 2.
The annual Scholastic Book Fair is Monday, December 2 - Friday, December 6. Students will have previewing day on Monday, December 2 and will be able to purchase books and other items during the school day. We will also hold family shopping times on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. See below for more information.
Personal Health & Safety Lessons begin the week of December 2. Please see earlier communication for more details. If you plan to opt out, be sure to communicate, via written note, by Friday, November 22.

Nuestro día de RETOMAR de fotografías es el miércoles 20 de noviembre de 9:00 a 12:00. El día de retomar de fotografías es para estudiantes que estuvieron ausentes para tomar fotografías o para familias que solicitan una nueva foto.
Si solicita una nueva foto:
· Envíe un correo electrónico al maestro del aula de su hijo
· Asegúrese de devolver la prueba con fotografía de su hijo que se envió a casa el viernes 15 de noviembre.
