2024 - 2025
December 5, 2024
Hi Families,
At our last all-staff meeting, we explored the importance of gratitude, inspired by Laura Trice’s TED Talk, The Power of Saying Thank You. Together, we reflected on the value of expressing appreciation and how it strengthens our relationships and community. Staff members shared specific and meaningful "thank yous" with each other, and it reminded us of the power of acknowledgment in fostering kindness and connection.
As a school, we’re committed to modeling and practicing gratitude daily—because it truly makes a difference. We are so good at showing gratitude for our students, but why don't we share our gratitude with each other, adults and colleagues, as easily?
Let’s challenge ourselves to change that. By taking small moments to express gratitude to one another—whether it’s a quick thank you or a heartfelt note—we can strengthen our connections and create an even more supportive community for everyone at Kegonsa. Thank you for being such an integral part of our Blue Gill family! 💖 Ms. Conrad

Shining Gilly Award Winners!
What is the Shining Gilly Award?
The Shining Gilly Award recognizes students who go above and beyond to show exceptional care for others or our school. These students exemplify the qualities we strive to nurture in all of our little citizens—kindness, responsibility, and a positive impact on their community. Whether it's an individual or a group of students, those who receive this award truly reflect the values we hold dear at our school.
Congratulations to Thalia (4th) and Heaven (3rd)! 🥳
