El Modena High School
Week of September 15
PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear El Modena Parents and Guardians,
As we dive into the heart of the school year, we want to emphasize the vital role you play in your student’s academic journey. We encourage you to check your child's grades regularly and have open conversations about their progress. We truly believe the path to success is a partnership between home and school.
To support this, our dedicated Math tutoring sessions are available to help students who need extra assistance. Please encourage your child to reach out to their teachers, coaches, and counselors for support and to explore available interventions.
We want to send out a special congratulations to all of our Spring Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll recipients who were honored at a ceremony on Wednesday morning. We are so proud of their accomplishments.
We’re excited to announce that the El Modena College and Career Fair will take place this Monday (9/16) from 8:30 to 1:30 in the Quad. We will have representatives from many different community colleges, universities, armed forces, and other employment opportunities. Students can visit during 0 period (if open), nutrition and lunch, and select classes will also participate throughout the morning. Please encourage your student to use this opportunity to start thinking about their futures and perhaps get a little inspiration!
Congratulations to our incredible Visual and Performing Arts students on a successful Arts and Education Week! The campus was brimming with creativity and fun, featuring lunchtime performances, chalk art, pottery demonstrations, a musical petting zoo, musical theater games, and even dance lessons. We are grateful to all the students for contributing to such a vibrant and artistic atmosphere.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in making this a successful year for our students.
Go Vanguards!
Looking forward to a great year,
Bob King
