Leader In Me Legacy School
Coosa Elementary proudly received the distinction of being the 28th Leader in Me Legacy School in the world. This honor reflects the unwavering dedication and hard work of our faculty, staff, and students, who embody the principles of the Leader in Me Habits each day. In celebration of this remarkable achievement and in recognition of the Month of the Military Child, the Parris Island Band delivered a special performance. We remain grateful for the support from our families and community members, which plays a vital role in our success.

Wellness Team
The Wellness Team sent home a fun challenge called, "Let's Move Away From Screens, and Move Towards Each Other." We hope our families have fun completing the challenge. All entries are due back on May 7.
Scholastic Book Fair
Our Book Fair is off to a great start! The Book Fair will remain open to students until 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30.
We highly encourage our families to be proactive and set-up an eWallet for your student(s). This eliminates the need for cash and is a very safe and effective way for our students to shop the fair with our librarians, teachers, and volunteers. Please set-up your child's eWallet and learn more about our Book Fair here: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/coosaelementaryschool
If you have any questions about the Book Fair, please email Ms. Kabel: ashley.kabel@beaufort.k12.sc.us
Book Vending Machine

Habits for a Happy Home
Habit 1: Be Proactive - Taking Initiative
This week, you can revisit Be Proactive by encouraging your child to take initiative in various aspects of their life. Help them identify opportunities to take charge, such as starting their homework/chores without being reminded or helping a family member with a task. Praise them when they show initiative, reinforcing the idea that proactive behavior leads to positive results. Show them how being a self-starter sets them up for success in school and life.
