As we approach the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we want to take a moment to wish our seniors the best of luck as they embark on the exciting journey of graduation. Your hard work and dedication have brought you to this moment, and we couldn't be prouder of all that you've accomplished.

We are pleased to present the Interactive Media Project Team as our student spotlight. The team members include Molly Slupik, Liam Brennan, Jadyn Powell, Elise Kohls, and Logan Dean and they are a group of talented students who lead the way in innovation and creativity. This group of students are masterful creators who deliver exceptional products tailored to customers needs. With a passion for captivating audiences and an unrivaled knack for crafting marketing materials across various platforms, our students set themselves apart from the rest. The Media Project Team members seize every opportunity to expand their knowledge and enjoy collaborating with student, staff, and industry partners. Thank you team members for your awesome work this school year!

In the Interactive Media pathway, students have the opportunity to explore visual communications, by delving into its historical context and its societal influence. Students develop proficiency in graphic design, illustration techniques, and the tools and media utilized in these fields. Furthermore, students expand their skills to encompass video communications and have the chance to earn industry certifications, gaining exposure to the diverse range of products within the Adobe Suite. Additionally, participants in this program have the opportunity to enroll in two concurrent enrollment courses offered in collaboration with Front Range Community College.

I’m Amy Dellwardt, and I’ve been teaching a total of 30 years; this is my third year at Career Elevation and Technology Center. I teach Videography, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Visual Communications. In my free time, I enjoy time with my family, being active in a variety of ways, and reading. I love adventures; they always provide challenges and challenges keep me active. One thing I love about teaching at the Career Elevation and Technology Center is the amazing students. They are highly motivated and fun to work with.

The SVVSD Communications team is dedicated to enhancing community engagement, fostering connectivity, and sharing impactful stories about our students and schools. They work tirelessly to promote the achievements and successes within our education system. This also includes them supporting our Interactive Media Program at CETC by offering valuable internship opportunities. SVVSD Communications also believes in investing in the future generation of leaders and providing them with hands-on experiences in the field of communications. The team also actively participates on the Advisory Board of our Interactive Media Program staying connected with the needs and aspirations of our students. Thank you to the SVVSD Communications team for your involvement in our program!

The Interactive Media program annually coordinates and hosts the St. Vrain Valley Student Film Festival. This is a remarkable event that draws an impressive number of students who eager to exhibit their work. The film festival welcomes all aspiring participants from St. Vrain Valley, Boulder Valley and Thompson Valley high school and middle school students. Attendees from the community are able to attend and witness a captivating showcase of outstanding short films created by these talented individuals. Professionals from the local Industry generously volunteer as judges, further enriching the event with their expertise, while audience participation adds an engaging element to the festival. Congratulations Interactive Media program for another amazing event and to all the students who participated!
