Final Forms
SAVE Students Act & Erin's Law
This past year, Ohio's General Assembly passed two different laws affecting education in Ohio schools: the Safety and Violence Education (SAVE) Students Act and Erin's Law. As part of these initiatives, schools are required to offer lessons on school security, youth suicide awareness education, and dating violence, among other things.
In order to meet this requirement, the Princeton Innovation Center will have three 1-hour sessions covering topics about suicide awareness and prevention; safety training and violence prevention; social inclusion; and dating and sexual violence prevention.
The Innovation Center will offer these sessions on Tuesday, May 7th; Wednesday, May 8th; and Thursday, May 9th during an extended homeroom. The sessions will include grade-level-appropriate topics as determined by the district.
Families do have the option to opt out of these sessions. If you would like to opt your child out, please contact administration or stop by the Innovation Center to pick up an opt-out form.

Principal's Message
Wear Sunscreen
Year's ago, as I was entering high school, a Chicago Tribune journalist wrote a column titled "Wear Sunscreen." The column was later turned into song that became a popular graduation anthem.
The column and song, now 25 years later, hold a nostalgic place for me. But the advice in it is still incredibly relevant: "Don't waste your time on jealousy." "Remember the compliments." "Forget the insults."
What particulary resonated with me at the time and still today is how, at the end of the day, worrying doesn't get you anywhere, and what really matters are the relationships you build.
As this year's Seniors move on to college, work, and other commitments, I hope they take that same advice with them. Treat others with kindness. Stay connected to family and your community. Because at the end of the day, no matter how tough life gets, your family, friends, and community are what will get you through.
Take care, and as always, Go Vikes!
