Music in Our Schools Month
Sprague's Family Folk Dance evening last week was an opportunity to bring second-grade families together through music.
"Coincidentally, March is Music In Our Schools Month, and this year's theme is United Through Music!," shared music teacher Pam Orals, who organized the event with colleagues Mark Kahn and Ashley Smidt of Half Day School. "Folk dances are musical traditions or customs that people experience in their culture. Sharing these musical traditions is a great way to unify our school community," Mrs. Orals said. "It's also a great way to experience music and joy across generations. There were lots of smiles!"

Your Opinion Matters to Us
Parents, students, and teachers are invited to participate in giving feedback on school climate and learning conditions in District 103 through the state-administered, Illinois 5Essentials Survey.
We must meet a response rate threshold of 20% in order to receive a Parent Report. Currently, as of today, only 12% of Sprague Parents have participated.
This 10-minute survey is a great way for D103 parents to provide input into the five indicators from the survey that affect and predict school success:
Effective Leaders
Collaborative Teachers
Involved Families
Supportive Environments
Ambitious Instruction
Spirit Week
The Sprague Sunshine Squad has planned a spirit week for next week and an accompanying Bernie's Book Bank drive. Families are invited to send in new or gently used books to donate for ages 0-12-years-old, or students can bring in coins or dollars to donate to Bernie’s Book Bank, as well.

PowerSchool Data Breach Update
See Something Say Something
National Data on crisis management in schools has proven that a community can band together to help create a highly effective culture of safety to help protect all of us, including our children in schools.
Many potential dangers have been reported and addressed due to community members reporting suspicious or concerning behavior. If you are aware of any suspicious or concerning behavior, please follow the practice of See Something, Say Something. Students can report concerns to any staff member or fill out D103’s Student Concern Form.
Looking for Lost Items?
