Leadership Ambassadors
What is a leadership ambassador? Leadership ambassadors are often the silent role models in the class. These students want to make a difference and encourage their peers and younger classmates to make the right choices.
Some activities they have presented in the past to assist students in making better behavior choices include the following:
Sixth grade orientation (how to act, organize, respect others, and respect themselves)
Job shadowing (each member takes a 5th or 6th grader to class so they can see how high school works)
Video presentations on behavior, choices, etc.
And the ever popular: just being a role model, making the right choice about school, sports, and social life
Students were nominated to be an Ambassador for the following character traits:
- actions show they have strong ethics
- actions show they care about others
- actions show they respect themselves and others
- actions show they are self-reflective and committed to self-improvement
Your 2019-20 Leadership Ambassadors are:
McKenna Stefek
Jenna Carpenter

New Perspective on Learning
What does extended reality technology mean in regards to education? Though new to the learning world, it is been proven to be a beneficial tool in learning and is creating a buzz in preparing students for the future. Can't imagine it? VR will turn it into a 3D model, which is great for visual learners. The possibilities are endless, but let's start with the beginning. Below are terms to familiarize yourself with the future.
Extended reality is a term referring to all real-and-virtual combined environments and human-machine interactions generated by computer technology and wearables. It includes representative forms such as augmented reality, mixed reality and virtual reality and the areas interpolated among them.
Mixed reality is the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time.
Augmented reality is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory.
