What's New?
Cell Phone Policy
Under a new South Carolina policy, schools are required to limit students' access to cell phones and other personal devices during the school day. The School District of Pickens County (SDPC) has adopted a revised Personal Electronic Device Policy to comply with state law (Budget Proviso 1.103).
What You Need to Know:
- Devices during the school day: Must remain silenced and stored during instructional time.
- Devices include, but are not limited to: cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and gaming devices.
- Permitted exceptions: Approved instructional uses, medical needs, or emergency situations with prior written approval.
We encourage parents to discuss this policy with their children and support its implementation. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s administration or refer to the full policy on our website at [www.pickens.k12.sc.us/page/sdpc-cell-phone-policy].
For more information, please visit the Free to Focus page on the South Carolina Department of Education’s website or review the SDPC policy.
Thank you for partnering with us to create a safe and focused learning environment as we implement this required policy.

Reminder
Students are not to be dropped off before school or picked up after school at the front of the building. Thank you for keeping our front loop clear!
Parking on Campus
In order for students to park at EHS, they must first complete either Alive at 25 or Arrive Alive. After completion, they need to purchase a parking pass on MySchoolBucks. We will give out parking tickets to anyone who parks on campus without a pass.
