2024-2025 School Year Starts Soon!
We are thrilled to welcome all our Eagles back to the nest for the 2024-2025 school year!
As we embark on this new journey together, we are committed to ensuring a productive and safe environment for every student. This year, we are especially excited to be a part of Dr. Jymil Thompson, Superintendent's initiative, "#23NoMore," which aims to dramatically increase student success both in and out of the classroom.
Here's to a fantastic year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and achievement. Let's make it the best one yet!

Opening & Closing Time Change
Doors to NDHS will open at 7:35am
Late Bell will ring at 7:45am and 1st period will begin.
Dismissal begins at 2:45pm
Students who are Tardy to school will be held to the same procedures as if they are tardy to class.
3 tardies will result in referral to administrators for disciplinary actions leading up to suspensions.
Picture Day (Grades 9-11)
Picture Day by LifeTouch will take place on Friday September 13th.

NDHS Open House & Supply Lists
NDHS Open House 2024-2025 will take place Thursday August 29th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Students will be able to meet their teachers, tour the school, get their schedule, and receive their school-issue laptop!
The syllabus for each class will be available during Back to School Night. Supply lists will be outlined in the syllabi. In general, students should have notebooks, writing utensils, and folders (or someway to organize paper materials).
Laptop Distribution
Students will be able to pick up their laptops before the start of the school year on the following days and times. Both the student and the parent need to be present. Students will log in to their computers and parents will sign the agreement form.

DCPS Strategic Planning Stakeholders Meeting
On Tuesday September 17th at 6:00pm, NDHS will be hosting a DCPS Strategic Planning Community Meeting. This meeting is open to all members of the DCPS community with a focus of those living in the North end of Dorchester County. For more information, please visit the DCPS website.

Work Based Learning
Applications will be available at open house.
You must have your service-learning hours, CPR/AED training, and environmental literacy project complete to potentially be approved.

Free Parking Permits!
Starting this year, if you have earned a passing score (3 or 4) on the Algebra I MCAP & ELA 10 MCAP, you are eligible for a free Student Parking Permit!
You will still need to fill out the necessary information/paperwork and turn it in to Ms. Hurley, but the fee will be waived!
Iron Man Volunteers Needed

For those interested in volunteering/needing service learning hours look no further than the Ironman! Come join my players and coaches as we volunteer for Ironman on Sept. 21. I’ve been appointed captain of the Bike Aid Station at CSD this year and I’d love to get all the help I can! This is year 5 of volunteering and I’ve loved every minute of it! See you there!
Clear Bags and Clear Bottles
As per DCPS policy, students are required to have Clear Bookbags and Clear liquid carrying containers.
Non-clear bags are subject to search regardless if the weapon detections system dings.
Clear Backpacks will be handed out during laptop pickup.
Go Fan (Online Tickets Only)
NDHS and DCPS utilizie GoFan.co for sports ticketing.
Ticket prices will remain the same as last year: $6 for adults, $3 for students.
Children 14 years or younger (8th grade and below) must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older.
NEW THIS YEAR: Tickets may be purchased on site with a credit card, apple pay, google/android pay.
Cash will still not be accepted.
