PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families
What an incredible way to wrap up the year of learning! Our Eagles Can Code celebration was an inspiring showcase of the creativity, curiosity, and tech talent of our students—and it was all made even more meaningful by your presence and support.
From the hands-on stations to the sweet treats and the prize drawing, the energy in the building was electric. We are so proud of our students for the amazing projects they’ve built throughout the year and for the confidence with which they shared their work with others.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our phenomenal STEM teacher and Leadership Coordinator, Katy Schwirtz, who spearheaded this event and continues to go above and beyond in creating opportunities for our students to grow, lead, and shine. Her vision and dedication are at the heart of events like these.
We’re so grateful to be part of a community that celebrates learning in all its forms. Thank you for cheering on our students and for being such an integral part of what makes Eagle Crest such a special place.
Warmly,
Amanda
P.S. - Don’t forget to send in notes of appreciation tomorrow for the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week! Every staff member and teacher deserves to be celebrated, and we’d love to make them feel extra special.

PTO UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
Our community has done an amazing job of showing staff how much they mean to us this week! Thanks to all who brought in food, blew up balloons, donated money, and grilled in the rain. Tomorrow is the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week; please consider writing a note and having your children draw or write cards for their classroom teachers, as well as any other staff member who has made a positive impact on your family. 💜💛
If you are looking for more ideas, feel free to consult the staff wish list. Gifts are never expected; staff value notes and words of appreciation above all else!
If you would like to donate to offset the costs of TAW, we gratefully accept contributions here.
Sincerely,
Katie Lancaster, PTO President

EAGLE CREST MUSIC FESTIVAL & FAMILY PICNIC – MAY 22
Join us on the last day of school, Thursday, May 22nd, for our annual Music Festival and Family Picnic! Students will perform by grade level in the gym throughout the morning, and families are invited to picnic on the school grounds anytime between 11:00 AM and 12:45 PM. Bring a blanket and lunch, and enjoy the day at your own pace—before or after your child’s performance. Full schedule and performance times are listed on our website, and recordings will be shared via Infinite Campus for those who can't attend in person. We can’t wait to celebrate the year with music, community, and fun!
LOST & FOUND
Is your child missing something? Our Lost and Found is overflowing with items once again! Please drop by the Main Office before or after school to claim your belongings, these items will be donated soon. Consider labeling your child's coats, gloves, layers, lunch boxes/containers, and water bottles with their names – it can make a significant difference! While we do try to check items for names, many items remain unclaimed due to the lack of labels.
KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT
If you have a rising Kindergarten student or know a family with a child who will turn five before October 1st, now is the time to register for Kindergarten! Early registration allows us to plan effectively for teachers and resources by giving us a clearer picture of our incoming student numbers. We are also currently accepting students through open enrollment, so even if a family does not live within our immediate neighborhood, they may still apply to join our Eagle Crest community. To learn more and complete the enrollment process, visit SVVSD Enrollment. We are happy to offer Kindergarten tours—just contact the main office to schedule one. It’s always a joy to welcome new families to Eagle Crest!
