EOY- Student Behavior Notice- Repost
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we approach the end of another school year, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences.
With the conclusion of the academic year drawing near, I want to remind you of our expectations for student behavior during this time. The end of the school year is a time for celebration and reflection, and it's essential that all students maintain a respectful and responsible demeanor both inside and outside the classroom.
Outlined below are our expectations for student behavior as defined by the district student code of conduct and our P.R.I.D.E values at BRMS.:
Respect for Others: Students are expected to treat their peers, teachers, and staff with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Bullying, harassment, disrespectful or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Academic Integrity: Students must uphold the principles of academic honesty and integrity in all their assignments, assessments, and interactions with BRMS staff and classmates.
Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance and punctuality are crucial for students to fully engage in their learning and participate in end-of-year events and activities.
Following School Rules: Students are required to follow all school rules and guidelines, including those related to dress code, technology use, and safety.
It is important to note that failure to adhere to these expectations may result in consequences, including but not limited to:
Loss of privileges, such as participation in extracurricular activities or end-of-year events.
Suspensions given may be assessed on the final days of this school year, or even the first days of the 24-25 school year.
Detention or other disciplinary actions as outlined in our school's code of conduct.
Ineligibility for awards or recognitions.
We firmly believe that by maintaining high standards of behavior, we can ensure a positive and rewarding end to the school year for all students. Your support in reinforcing these expectations at home is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's behavior or the end-of-year expectations, please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of our school's administration.
Thank you for your continued partnership in fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for all our students.
Sincerely,
John Kleiber

Parent Letter Regarding Your Student's Tech
Dear 6th-8th grade TSD parents and guardians,
Thompson's Tech4All (1:1) program supports TSD's Strive 2025 Strategic Plan by providing students with the digital tools of their future. Through access to digital tools, TSD is creating learning conditions that enable students to reach their fullest potential. We're excited to have your student join us for a summer filled with learning and growth. To ensure a seamless experience, here's what you need to know about the digital aspect of our programs:
1. Chromebook Distribution:
Your student will take home their Tech4All Chromebook on the last day of the school year. This device is essential for accessing our learning tools over the summer, including SORA, Khan Academy, and iReady and Lexia lessons.
2. Guidance and Resources:
As a guardian, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with resources from Securly and Common Sense Media to set healthy tech use guidelines at home. Resources like The Smart Talk or Family Tech Planners can also be helpful.
3. Responsible Use Policy (RUP):
Before your Chromebook can go home, families are required to acknowledge our Responsible Use Policy in Infinite Campus. Instructions are available in our HowTo guide.
4. Continuing Education All Summer
We encourage your student(s) to continue their learning throughout the summer. Our Summer Activities Guide for middle and high schools offers a variety of fun and educational activities. Tell us about your learning and you could even win a prize!
Tech Support:
If your student has any technical problems with their TSD device, our HelpDesk is here for you! Call 970-613-7777, Monday through Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm. Check out some Quick tips and tricks for Chromebooks to set you up for success.
Optional Insurance Offering:
To protect against potential damage, we’re offering optional insurance for Chromebooks. Sign up by May 24th, for coverage through Aug 2025. See this link for more information.
Transferring Schools: If your student is transferring to another school within the TSD school district, your student will bring their device to their new school.
Device Return:
Please ensure your student brings their Tech4All device with them on their first day of the new school year.
We trust you to use the resources and information provided on our Tech4All website to not only set the parameters for your family but to treat your device with care so they are returned to school in working condition. Thank you for your cooperation and support in making this a productive learning summer for your student(s).
Thank you,
John Kleiber and your TSD ITS Team

Student Fees
Online Payment Option: Campus Payments
Campus Payments is an online payment system for parents to use as an option to make fee payments by credit or debit card. Parents can pay student fees directly from their parent portal accounts. Parents can pay fees in the portal account by navigating to the fees tab and adding fees owed to their cart. Campus Payments currently accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover. (Processing fess are 3.5% of total transaction + $0.35 - processing fees are not refundable).
RevTrak
RevTrak will still be used for middle school and high school athletic fees.
You can also pay in the BRMS main office with a credit card, cash or check. Please be advised that all fees that are unpaid remain on your student's account through high school and may delay them from getting their diploma when they graduate.
If you have applied and been approved for free and reduced meals and still see a fee on your student's account, please email a copy of your approval letter to Tracy Ubrun at tracy.ubrun@tsd.org so we can clear your student's fees.
Parent Portal And Choice Enrollment Information
Please make sure you can access your Parent Portal account TODAY: Parent Portal
If you do not remember your log in (it is usually your email address) and/or your password: hit the "Forgot Password" and/or "Forgot Username" buttons. If you do not hear back in 2-3 business days, please email portal@tsd.org and give them your name and your students name/date of birth and ask them for your login/password information.
Almost all communications are sent out through email. Please make sure your email address is updated through Parent Portal. You may also find grades, teacher emails, missing assignments, and attendance information on Parent Portal.
Student passwords can be found through parents Parent Portal accounts. The three lead characters necessary for your student's new password can be found on the parent's portal main page. On the left hand side menu choose "more", under "quick link" click on "student log in information".
Please make sure your student's primary household address, listed on Parent Portal, is up to date: https://thompsonco.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/thompson.jsp
IF you need to update your students primary household address, please send a picture of your most recent City of Loveland/Xcel bill OR the top page of your lease to angela.wilson@tsd.org . The picture needs to be of the entire page, listing YOUR name and the SERVICE/RESIDENTIAL address. It cannot be updated through Parent Portal.
To find your boundary school, please click: SCHOOL BOUNDARY LOCATOR and enter your address.
If you would like your student to attend a different school...other than your boundary school...you will need to fill out a Choice Enrollment Application: CHOICE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION

Community and Mental Health Resources for Families
Resources for Families are updated throughout the year to find some “extra help” your family might need. This is a great resource if you need help with food, utilities, clothing, wifi, mental health, etc.
Finding help for mental health or substance use issues can be confusing. Click on the following link for Mental Health and Substance Use resources and information for Larimer County, CO:
There are several techniques that can help parents raise kids who grow into responsible and successful adults. For more details on helping your kids avoid entitlement and become responsible adults, listen to this classic audio, Four Steps to Responsibility.
Specialty Counseling
We recently received word from Specialty Counseling that they have immediate openings for therapeutic services. (Most families are experiencing long wait times elsewhere, so this agency is worth looking into). Take a moment to look at their website (noting that not all services are offered at their Fort Collins location). In addition to traditional forms of individual and family therapy, they offer art therapy, play therapy, and EMDR, as well as Case Management/Care Coordination.

2023-2024 Meal Application
While meals are free this year for students, we still encourage you to fill out a Free & Reduced application even if you believe you won't qualify. The HSMA program is funded in partnership with federal nutrition programs that rely on that income information to support meals for ALL students. Other state and federal grants for school are awarded based on free and reduced meal eligibility rates - this could mean more money for your school! Additionally, families who qualify may receive discounted or waived school fees, sports fees, utilities support and more!
The link to the application is provided below and is also up on the TSD website.
Apply online here: 2023-2024 Application
Transportation Application
All families MUST apply for transportation EACH SCHOOL YEAR regardless of past approval status. To see if you qualify, please email transportation at transportationrouting@tsd.org with your student(s) name, address, and school(s) they attend to confirm qualification. Please remember there is a COLT bus system available that is free to all TSD students with their school ID: COLT BUS ROUTES
Picking Up Your Student
Please remember to bring your ID with you when you come to the school to pick up your student. Anyone signing a student out from school before the end of the school day will be asked to present an ID before the student will be released each and every time.
Please also be aware that the curbside in front of BRMS is the designated unloading and loading lanes for school buses. Please do not park in the bus lanes during designated hours as posted.
What time can my student be on campus?
Classes are from 8:50am to 4:05pm on M-T-Th-F. The cafeteria opens at 8:30am and the front door at the main entrance will open at 8:40am. Students cannot be on campus before 8:30am and must leave campus when they are released at the end of the day. Classes begin promptly at 8:50am. Students arriving after 8:50am will be considered tardy.
Wednesday, classes are from 9:50am to 4:05pm. The cafeteria opens at 9:30am and the front door at the main entrance will open at 9:40am. Students cannot be on campus before 9:30am and again must leave campus when they are released at the end of the day.
