RES Newsletter #19
A Note From Ms. C
Dear RES Community,
March 18 - 22 is Neurodiversity Celebration week, and our students are going to be engaging in learning and discussing what the term neurodiversity means to them, and thinking about the word “normal”... is there a “normal?” Should there be such a thing as “normal?” The week’s end will culminate in an art project that ties together and represents the beautiful neurodiversity of our RES community!
With gratitude,
Meg

Help Needed: School Play?
We would love to be able to put on a play this Spring! The challenge is that without the expert guidance of our former director, we are looking for folks who would be able and willing to help with putting on a performance with our interested students! It doesn’t have to match the grand scale as last year’s; any version of a theater experience is wonderful!
Please reach out if you are interested in helping make this happen, or if you know folks who might be interested!
Spring Conferences
Spring conferences begin this week! The goal of this conference is to be in person, as teachers plan to share student work and current progress toward the standards. If they haven't already, your child's teacher will be reaching out in the near future with a conference schedule.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week
ACSD schools will be celebrating neurodiversity in our community. Neurodiversity refers to the biological fact that everyone has a uniquely wired brain and their own way of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world. Learn more at https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/introduction! School leaders will share more about upcoming Neurodiversity Celebration Week events at your school. SEPAC also invites you to connect with them through the SEPAC website and join them for two upcoming events:
Neurodiversity Celebration Night
Marquis Theater Cafe (65 Main St, Middlebury)
March 20th, 5:30-7:00 pm

Visit our eclipse web page to learn more about what your students may be doing at school and activities to try at home!
