Wiggin Street Parent Update
February 2, 2024
Better Together
Dear Wiggin Street Families,
We had a full week of school, and it was great to get back into routines! Our Middle of the Year Assessments are completed and the Math-a-thon has been an amazing success. Thank you all for being such a supportive community for our students!
The ALICE Lockdown drill went well today, and it was good to practice for everyone's safety. The Popcorn Volunteers even got to experience the drill. We appreciate how well behaved the students were during the drill.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Best wishes,
Christy Grandstaff

The following link will provide you with details shared by Superintendent Seder on how the decision is made for closings and delays. “School Closings and Delays - How is the Decision Made”
Also, we use ‘Instant Connect Alerts’ as our closings and delays notification system which is how you probably received this Parent Update. If not, please make sure you have signed up at Instant Connect portal.
Temperature and wind chill. Temperature and/or sustained wind chills at or below -10F during peak pick-up times for buses and walking times for students are given special consideration.
Lastly, if school is on a 2-hour delay, we will start school at 11:00 am with drop-off beginning at 10:40. Lunch will always be pizza on delay days, and no breakfast will be served.
