In addition to our regular programming, Julien came on Friday afternoon and helped us learn how to use our new bow and arrows! We had quite the time hitting the targets we painted! Fun was had by all!
This Week...
This Week in Detail...
We had a lovely Mother's Day celebration sponsored by the Band at the new Hall. What a wonderful spread and thank you for the lovely Mother's Day gifts! Students are currently at school for a movie night.
On Monday we will start our Career Week which is actually three days long and not a full week. Students will come to school and then go to the first person they are learning from in the morning. Students will be with their person from 9:30-11:30 AM. After they are done at 11:30 AM please send them back to school. We will go over what they learned and work on the summary together (it's in the packet).
In the afternoon, students will come to school and then be sent to their person at 1:30 PM. They will be with their afternoon person till 3:15 PM. Please send them to school at 3:15 PM. I'll be working with them on the summary of what they learned.
Students will be asking individuals 9 questions about their jobs. This will help them gain an awareness of what kinds of jobs are in the community and what people do for full time work. Please let them help you, too, during your time with them. They are quite capable and can handle supporting you in so many ways. This will also help them gain an awareness of the job you hold and the demands of it.
Friday there is no school for students. It's a STIP day. Monday is also an Admin Day so students will have a long weekend this weekend.
Looking Ahead...
Monday, May 20th is an Admin Day and students do not have school. We have a fiddling session planned with Linda the afternoon of May 23rd. On May 24th we will go swimming in the afternoon.
