A Message from Our Administrators
- Reminder to students: sports/duffel bags must be left in the front office in the morning. Students are only permitted to bring clear backpacks into the building and classrooms.
- No backpacks on Wednesday 5/8, Friday 5/10, as well as the last week of school.
- Parent volunteers are needed to help in the morning, during lunch and after school. Please click the link for VIPS-Volunteers in Public Schools for more information.
- Please be aware of students congregating at Sunrise Park, near the Canyon Hills campus. We have been advised of fights that have happened when students are at the park unsupervised. Please check your child's phone, as many have recordings of actual fights and "play fighting".
- The tardy bell is at 7:50 am. Students who are not in class at that time are marked tardy and will be given after school detention from 3:00-4:00.
- Vaping continues to be a concern at CHMS. Please check your child's backpack for vapes or other harmful substances.
- Attendance matters! Please ensure your child is attends school regularly. Court referrals are in process for unexcused student absences.
- Please make sure your child is in uniform daily, per the campus uniform policy. No slides, crocs, or hoodies with images or logos.

Book Tasting Event at the CHMS Library
Special thanks to Mrs. Delgado for this week's book tasting event which focused on extending our 6th grader's knowledge about sub-genres of fiction. It also piqued their curiosity on the kinds of stories that are available to them with the purpose of encouraging students that reading is also something we do by choice and based on our personal interests. It was a great way to close National School Library Month and we look forward to learning more about the sub genres of non-fiction and the many other genres of literature as we head into the summer months. The more students know about what reading can be the more they can hopefully offset or avoid that summer slide! Thank you Mrs. Delgado!! - Mr. Lee aka BOOKMAN 6th Grade ELA
Club Connection
- Crochet Club is in need of yarn donations! Please drop off to Mrs. Delgado in the library.
