Senior Capstone Presentations Begin Next Week

Seniors at Alvirne High School are set to begin their capstone presentations next week! We invite parents and community members to join us for afternoon and evening presentations on January 16th from 3-5:30 pm and 6-8:30 pm, as our seniors display all their hard work. For students, there will be in-school presentations on Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 and a capstone gallery walk during a FLEX block.

Alvirne Course Selection Night Jan. 14

Alvirne's course selection night for the 2025-26 academic year is coming up on January 14 at the high school. Parents can find out about the course request process with Alvirne school counselors in an informational meeting setting. Parents of prospective ninth graders will have a time slot of 5-6:30 pm, while parents of incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will meet from 7-8 pm.

Parent Internet Safety Night Jan. 15

The Hudson Police Department will be hosting a Parent Internet Safety Night coming up on Jan. 15 at 6 pm at the Hudson Memorial School Library. The event will aim to help parents learn tips to keep their children out of danger on the internet.

Palmer Center at Alvirne Open House Jan. 22

The Palmer Center at Alvirne High School will be hosting a CTE Open House event coming up on January 22nd from 5:30-7:30 pm. There will be teachers and the CTE Ambassadors in attendance to answer any questions and show prospective students around the building. If you're interested in learning more about the Palmer Center and their offerings, you can visit their website here.

Food Services Hiring Midday Shifts

Hudson School District Food Services is looking to fill three open positions between Alvirne High School and Hudson Memorial School. The positions are all three-hour shifts and are either from 10-1 or 10:30-1:30. If you are interested or know someone who would be interested, please visit sau81.org/careers.

This Past Week at Hudson School District

Construction students at the Palmer Center at Alvirne have been making tremendous progress with their shed project.

Hudson Memorial School gave a presentation last week to recognize all of their December Triple Crown winners.

American Legion Post 48 in Hudson hosted a meat raffle and donated the proceeds to the Alvirne FFA chapter to help with travel expenses to leadership camps, field trips, and competitions.
