Happy New Year, LLMEA members!

I’m Sara Masten, your LLMEA President for the 2024-2025 year. Having served as Vice President for the past two years, I’m excited to take on this new role.

With over 15 years of experience leading ensembles at Penn Manor School District, I am deeply committed to music education and building strong professional communities. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside talented students and dedicated colleagues, and I am excited to bring this passion and experience to my role as LLMEA President.

I am eager to collaborate with all of you to make this a successful year for our association.

We invite you to attend the LLMEA General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, September 4th at 4:15 PM. The meeting will take place online via Google Meet. The meeting agenda and meet link will be emailed out 1 week before the meeting. This meeting is for ALL K-12 LLMEA Music Educators. If you have a new member in your district, please encourage them to attend. We will be discussing important information about our festivals and events as well as sharing new executive board initiatives. We hope to see you there!

In an effort to keep our membership directory current and accurate, please take time visit our website (llmea.org) to verify that your information is correct. If your information is incorrect or missing, please fill out the form below. Additionally, if there are any NEW music faculty members (K-12) in your district, please share this newsletter and the form below with them. Lastly, if a member is listed but no longer in your district, please reach out to the tech chair (techchair@llmea.org) to have them removed. Thank you for helping the association maintain accurate records.

At the May executive board meeting, it was discussed and successfully voted upon to add a private teacher directory to the LLMEA website. Do YOU or someone you know teach private lessons in your area? Please encourage them to fill out the form below to become part of the directory.
