We will be conducting MAPS Testing during the month of January. We test students growth in ELA & Math 3 times a year, in the fall, winter and spring. Unlike the State of Ohio Tests, which results arrive too late to allow us to provide additional help to the students, MAPS testing allows us to see where our students stand immediately against grade level peers across the country. The results are specific in areas of strengths and weaknesses of students, allowing us to plan to intervene or enrich your child's understanding of the subject material. MAPS can also provide a predictor of student success on the OST, giving us information to guide our instruction leading up to state testing.

PBIS Rewards!
Our goal is to recognize positive behaviors in our students. We are proud of our AJH students for displaying respect, responsibility, and kindness. Students earned a PBIS movie reward before Thanksgiving and are looking forward to our next reward day! Remember, you can always check your students PBIS activity by using the PBIS Rewards app. This gives you an opportunity to see your child's earned points and any infractions they may receive, including minor or major referrals. During the month of December, the school PBIS store will feature new passes. Students will have the opportunity to spend their PBIS points on passes for things like pajama day, wear a hat to school, or even the coveted homework pass! We are keeping things exciting and building positivity at AJH!
