A Message from Mrs. Williams
As we settle into the rhythm of the school year, now is a great time to focus on building positive habits that will support our students' success both in and out of the classroom. Establishing strong routines early on can make a big difference, and I’d like to share a few tips to help guide your student toward a productive, well-balanced year.
- Consistent Routines: A regular daily routine helps students feel more organized and prepared. Encourage consistent bedtimes, morning routines, and a designated time and space for homework each day. A good night's sleep can also improve focus and performance in school.
- Goal Setting: Work with your student to set small, achievable goals for the school year. Whether it’s improving in a particular subject, joining a new club, or being more organized, having goals gives students something positive to work toward.
- Open Communication: Keep the lines of communication open with your student about their day. Whether it’s celebrating a small win or discussing a challenge, letting them know you’re there to listen is key.
- Balanced Involvement: Encourage your child to explore extracurricular activities that interest them. Whether it’s sports, music, or academic clubs, being involved can help students feel more connected to school while learning valuable teamwork and time management skills.
Together, we can build strong habits that set our students up for success throughout the year. As always, we’re here to support you and your student every step of the way.

Family Conferences
We will hold our 2024-25 GLHS Family Conferences Thursday, September 26 and Tuesday, October 1. Conferences will take place from 4:00-7:30 pm both days. We will once again have the option to meet in-person or virtually.
During these conferences, families will have the opportunity to connect with teachers and counselors to learn more about your student's academic experience at GLHS.
Parents can schedule time to meet with individual teachers and staff members by using MyConferenceTime.com/glhs. When scheduling times to meet with teachers, please only reserve one (1) conference time per teacher and be mindful of the allotted time, as our staff's goal is to meet with as many families as possible each evening.
If you need assistance in signing up for MyConferenceTime, please view the following tutorial video here. If you have any questions, please contact the main office at (614) 478-5500.
We are off to a great start for the school year and thank all of our families for their support and collaboration in displaying PRIDE here at GLHS.
