Principal's Message

Sabre Families,


I would like to start off by thanking everyone for your patience and understanding during these uncertain and unprecedented times. Staff are working hard building up online material and course work for students to access from home. As Superintendent Liguori mentioned in his message to parents last week, diploma courses have started through the google classroom and non diploma courses officially begin April 6. Having said that, many teachers already have work up for all students who are wishing to get a head start and occupy their day.


Alberta Education did send more messaging out on Friday and we are still working through and interpreting the specifics and will relay that communication to students and families once confirmed.


Should your child require a device for use at home, please do not hesitate to contact myself at sunny.sandhu@eips.ca or Assistant Principal Brandon Salyzyn at brandon.salyzyn@eips.ca.


I would also like to commend our students and families who were able to come in to pick up text books and personal belongings last week. It has been an emotional roller coaster and in true Sabre style, our kids made the process seamless and smooth.


Please send us an email at general.sal@eips.ca if your child was unable to pick up personal belongings and please note that if were on self isolation, you must be symptom free and completed the 14 days before connecting with us for pick up.

In-House Awards/Scholarships

If you have a grade 12 student who has volunteered their time either in the community or at Salisbury during their high school years, and have definite post-secondary goals for a trade or apprenticeship program, college or university, and/or if they are in a position of financial need, please go to the student graduation page to check out which scholarship they may be eligible to apply for. All applications are available online in a fillable PDF format. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2020 unless otherwise noted by the scholarship.
