Dear families,
Mayday, mayday...it is May!! STAAR testing is complete and we are moving towards the end of the year. Please make sure you check the list at the bottom of this newsletter to ensure that you are able to plan ahead with work schedules.
I encourage you to talk to your child about making sure they are still working hard and keeping their focus. We often see an increase in negative behaviors, so talk to them and make sure they know what you expect them to do aligns with the school expectations as well.

Counselor Corner
During the 6th 6-Weeks, counselor lessons will focus on the concept of kindness. This time of year can be hard-- schedules are busy, bedtimes get pushed back, etc. Kids are tired & tried creates grumpy moods. We will take time during lessons to refocus and remember our manners & respect. When we take time to consider how we're treating others we often are rewarded with pleasant interactions. In a world where you can be anything, be kind!
