Grad Group Meetings
Scheduling 2024-2025
The CCR Office received access to the master schedule on 5/1/24. We are currently reviewing student schedules and will make the necessary adjustments based on the following priority list:
1) Students with “hard conflicts.” Our first priority is to honor your original course requests.
2) Seniors that need a specific course to meet graduation requirements.
3) Students that have failed a required course and need to retake it.
4) Preferential course requests in the order that they were received in the College & Career Office. Preferential course requests can be made after the first three priorities have been met. We will announce this date in a future CCR Update.
AP Exam Day
Students and parents can review the AP Student Exam Day document for test dates, arrival times, room locations, and more. See your AP teacher or Mr. Gill with any questions.
Senior Exit Survey & Final Transcripts
Seniors: If you missed the Senior Celebration on 5/1/24, please complete the Senior Exit Survey and Graduation Survey in Naviance. These surveys are used to send final transcripts to all colleges/universities, military branches, and future employers. Final transcripts cannot be sent until these surveys are completed.
- Log in to your Naviance account.
- Once on your account, go to your “About Me” tab, click “Surveys from your school”
- The Graduation Survey and Senior Exit Survey are under “My Surveys/Surveys Not Started”
- Final Transcript Request is the second question on the Senior Exit Survey
- Make sure to complete this very important step so we can send your transcripts to the proper destination!
- When senior grades are final in mid-June, all final transcript requests will be processed and sent.
Contact your counselor or Mr. Gill with any questions.
FAFSA Graduation Requirement
P. A. 101-180 requires all Illinois public high school students to complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid (Alternative Application) as a prerequisite to receiving a high school diploma. Additionally, high schools are expected to provide students and their families with any support or guidance necessary to comply with the requirement. For students who choose not to file an application, a waiver may be completed by their parent. The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) makes available through their website a FAFSA Nonparticipation Form (English and Spanish) for this purpose. Check out our FAFSA Update for more information.
86% of the Class of 2024 have met the requirement.
PSAT/SAT Score Release
Scores for those students who took the PSAT or SAT on April 10 are scheduled to be released beginning on May 2. Those students who took the make-up exams will need to wait until May 16 to access their scores. Students will be able to access scores via their online College Board account. We will not receive paper copies. If you do not see your scores, please try these troubleshooting steps shared by the College Board. Students who are not able to access their account, should contact College Board for assistance.

College Visits-In Person & Virtual
Virtual campus visits are an excellent way to learn more about prospective colleges and universities. These visits can be a precursor to an in-person visit over the summer or in the fall. Virtual campus tour websites are listed below:
All virtual and in-person meetings will be in the LRC (unless otherwise noted) and students must obtain a pass from the Office of College and Career Readiness at least one day prior to attending. This pass then should be signed by the teacher of the class for that period. While we encourage students to attend these meetings, please note that what is happening in the classroom is more important. Teachers may deny the request to miss class if they feel it is in the student’s best interest to be in attendance.
If you have a conflict with a college visit, please email Patty.Hofer@d303.org for the college rep's contact information.
For Scheduled Virtual Visits: Click the link to enter the live virtual conference with a college rep. For the full listing go to the College Visit page on the CCR Website.
Upcoming Visits:
East High School had 159 college visits this school year.
Information for local scholarships and select national scholarships is available in the College and Career Office and through the scholarship listing on the CCR website. This list will continue to be updated throughout the school year.
