SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

PK, K and 1st Grade Students

Arrive at Sacred Heart Church at 1:45pm so your children will be ready to begin at 2:00pm. Please have then wear nice Christmas clothes (no jeans or tennis shoes).

2nd-3rd Grade Students

Arrive at the Church Hall (basement of the church) at 2:20pm or right after the PK/K/1st grade performance. Please wear nice Christmas clothes (no jeans or tennis shoes)

4th, 5th and 6th Grade Students

They will know what to wear

Arrive at the school at 2:00pm.

Hello Sacred Heart,

Christmas break is fast approaching, and it can throw everyone out of their

normal routine. I wanted to share that there is research that shows if we as

parents set aside 10 minutes with a child where we are present and solely

focused on our relationship with them, there is a multitude of benefits. When

these needs are met, they are able to self-regulate, learn more effectively, and

have fewer meltdowns.

Now, I understand as a parent myself even 10 minutes (especially with multiple

children) can be impossible somedays but anytime helps. Even if once a week is

all a parent has, this still shows good results. If we know we have been

distracted, acknowledge how distracted you’ve been. Acknowledge that you are

scheduling time just for them, nothing else. Tell them that for the next ten

minutes you are all theirs. Explain to them that you will not look at your phone or

answer a quick email. Lastly, try your best to not correct them if possible (I know

this one can be tough).

I would love if anyone tries this activity and wants to share, let me know how it

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of the parents who helped the preschoolers with the stocking

stuffers for the Angel tree. The kids will be so blessed on Christmas day thanks to your

generosity.

This week down in preschool we have been busy working on the letters O and Q. We have also

been talking about how Mary said “Yes” to God and how she became the mother of the best

Christmas gift of all Jesus. Mrs. Henning has also been making several different Christmas

crafts throughout this week.

Thursday the 19th the preschool class is going to have a Christmas pajama day. Students who

are in attendance on Thursday are more than welcome to wear Christmas pajamas to school.

On Friday the 20th we will be having our Christmas party around 10:00. If your child isn’t usually

a Friday student they are more than welcome to come in at 10:00 for the party. We will be

having some light snacks and then decorating Christmas Cookies to take home.

December 21st- January 5th- Christmas Break

January 6th- Registration for 2024-2025 School begins

Registration begins on January 6th for all students in PK-5th Grade.

· Secure your child’s place at SHS for next year.

Everyone who registers before January 25th, 2025 will receive a $50.00 in tuition credit for each child you register. This is thank you for filling out your paperwork.

· Be on the list to receive scholarship information

· Registration will open up to the community on January 26th, 2025

Sacred Heart School is growing and we want to be able to accommodate all of our school families for the 2025-2026 school year. Planning well for next school year will allow us to keep tuition low and continue to educate our students in the tradition of excellence that you are accustomed to.
