We hope your child(ren) are having a blast learning at Ivy Stockwell so far this year!

Ivy Stockwell is a pet friendly school. We also love that families walk and may bring their furry friends to school. We are however noticing that dogs are getting too close to our students. We ALWAYS want to make sure that our students are safe. Even though pets are on leashes, with so many little students and families around, we never know if that could trigger something that could cause agitation in our pets. PLEASE keep dogs on a leash and on the outside perimeter of our students and families- not in the heart of all of the students. We will continue to allow pets on campus if they can be on the outskirts of the crowd. Our hopes are that our pet friends can still come to school to send off or welcome their K-5 family members. We have a lot of students! We really could use some help getting through the lunch line from 11:10 am-11:50 am. If you are able to come help us out with our salad bar area, please send an email to annemarie.sanchez@tsd.org with which day of the week you would be able to assist. We really are looking for someone who can commit to that day on a weekly basis and not 1 to 2 times a month for manangement purposes. Thank you for your understanding and for considering this helpful opportunity. 🙂

Have you ever wondered what the SAAC is? It is an important committee of Ivy family, community and staff members that meet 5 times throughout the year to discuss and make recommendations around the school's unified improvement plan, how school funds should be spent, make recommendations to the District Accountability Committee and ensure that the school is appropriately engaging families in the school community.

If you are interested in joining the committee please send an email to annemarie.sanchez@tsd.org. The more the merrier and also it ensures a more collective family voice and representation when school-wide decisions are being made. Thank you for considering this opportunity.

Tech4All equips students with the digital tools they need to enhance their learning and prepare for the future. We invite you to partner with us as we empower students to thrive in today's rapidly evolving digital world.

Tech4All supports TSD’s strategic plan by providing digital tools that enable students to demonstrate their learning meaningfully and reach their fullest potential. Whether it's exploring interactive digital textbooks, collaborating with peers on projects, or engaging in immersive educational experiences, the possibilities are limitless.

Each student will receive a TSD digital learning device, ensuring equitable access to resources and enabling personalized learning experiences.

• K-1st grade will receive an iPad

• 2nd-5th grade students will receive a touch screen Chromebook

Your child’s device will serve as their digital learning tool throughout their time in the Thompson School District. Each year the device will transition with them to the next grade level and will be replaced when they move to middle or high school.

Students and families are responsible for the care and safety of their district device. Please see our Technology Agreement Form which includes a link to the JS - Responsible Use Policy for TSD. Instructions to accept the Tech Agreement Form are included in this How To Guide.

Students are expected to bring their device with them to class, charged and ready to use. All students will receive documentation on maintaining their device, keeping it safe, practicing digital citizenship and meeting any school specific requirements for digital learning. To protect against potential damage, we offer an optional insurance plan.

Here's the link for our Ivy Stockwell FAMILY HANDBOOK. There are 2 major changes this year. First, students will be allowed to wear hats/caps to school. This will remain if students can wear and use them responsibly and they do not cause disruption to the learning environment. Second, smart watches will now be required to be powered off and put into backpacks- the same as cell phones have for many years now.
