Dear Parents/Guardians,

This week, I want to address an important issue we've been noticing: locker use and security. Many of our students are either sharing lockers, which is not permitted, or leaving their lockers unlocked because they are unsure how to open them.

For the safety and security of their belongings, it is crucial that students practice and learn how to use their locker combinations. We strongly encourage students to take time at home to memorize their combination and practice opening their lockers, as this will help them feel more confident and responsible. Please remind your child that we are unable to provide a locker key, and while we are here to support, we may not always have time to assist with locker issues throughout the day.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping ensure that your child is practicing locker security. With a little effort, we can keep everyone's belongings safe and organized.

These are our school-wide expectations for our students. Positive behavior fosters an environment where ALL students can learn and grow. It is our hope that our HMS families will discuss our school-wide behavior expectations and encourage positive behaviors at school and home.

Our school-wide expectations extend beyond the classroom. It is important that students also realize they are accountable for their behaviors in the hallway, cafeteria and at all school sponsored activities on and off campus.
