Monomoy's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Advisory Council
Hello! Monomoy’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Advisory Council (DEIBAC) is gathering anonymous student submissions about the unique experiences our students have related to race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, native language, hidden disability, unique families, and the many, many more characteristics that make you, YOU!
Our goal with these stories is to find barriers that appear within the Monomoy educational system and work to erase resulting gaps in learning, development, happiness, and safety for all of our students. Your submissions will be fully anonymous unless you choose otherwise! These first-hand stories will help our school community better understand the real experiences of our students.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Advisory Council is made up of a diverse group of parents, teachers, community members, and students who are working to improve the district. If you are interested in other council efforts, looking for advice in the realm of equity, or wish to start a conversation we are missing, please email equity@monomoy.edu
We look forward to hearing from you!
988 Mood Elevation Signs
Have you noticed the signs around the MRHS campus? We hope the biggest takeaway for anyone seeing the 988 Mood Elevation would be to know that you are not alone in any struggles that you face. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, and helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health IS health! Having struggles is not something you should be ashamed of.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
The Guidance and Counseling Department at Monomoy Regional High School is a local resource for the school’s students, families, faculty and the school community as a whole, they can be contacted at 508-430-7200.

Ad Lucem Word of the Week

AP Exams are just about here!
Hello SHARK AP Nation-
Exams will begin starting Monday 5/1 (next week) and will conclude on Friday 5/19. Teachers should have shared with students both the test date and location. If you receive accommodations, your teacher has the schedule with your room assignment.
Morning Exams will begin each day at 8:45 sharp…Students should arrive at their testing location by 8:30 am. Students are expected to remain in school after the exam finishes.
Afternoon Exams will begin at 12:00 pm. Students should arrive to their testing location by 11:45
These exams may take longer than the end of the school day, especially if the student is testing with extended time. Students are expected to attend school prior to the noon exam.
It makes sense to bring lunch on testing days in case the lunch period is compromised due to testing.
There are still a few who have not remitted payment for their exams. We need to make sure we have collected the fees from everyone testing. See me if you have questions regarding this!
Mr. Bennett, AP Coordinator
HOUSEKEEPING: College Board has sent this email out to students who must accept the “AP Terms and Conditions for Testing”. Please be sure to complete this step by week's end.
