Taking Notes While Watching a Video Online
The videos you use need to be from YouTube or Vimeo. You can find many videos from credible places on YouTube (PBS, Khan Academy, National Geographic, PBS Kids, Discovery Channel, Bill Nye the Science Guy and many more).
This is a great way to model note taking with your students.
Great things about this tool:
- Sign in with your MJSD Google email account.
- Save your notes to add to and review later in your Google Drive account.
- You can share your notes with others.

Calendly - Easy way to book meetings
Want to take a look at it? Check out my Calendly page. calendly.com/loughrins
Calendly will send you an email when someone books a time with you and automatically puts it into your MJSD Google Calendar. Then as the meeting approaches, Calendly again emails you to remind you of the event.
Narrable - Narrate a Photo Slideshow
Here is a link for simple step by step directions on how to create a Narrable.
A Narrable is a slideshow that allows you to add up to 5 minutes of talking to each picture in the slide show. The show moves itself along on your screen automatically when you view it. Here is a sample Narrable - https://narrable.com/#narrables/uezu02/coverImage
Interested? Create your account today and try it out. Find out more information at the Narrable Education Community.
