Bell Schedule for Labor Day Week
Monday, September 2 is Labor Day and we will not have classes. In order to keep our academic minutes balanced, when we have a Monday holiday we hold block days for the rest of the week. Our schedule will be a red, blue, red, blue days for the rest of the week.
Wear Your Vogel Shirt on Friday!
This year's Vogel t-shirt was designed by the family of Todd Vogel, Chaparral Administrator who we tragically lost in 2012. To continue his belief that we should "Take care of one-another" we raise funds each year for a scholarship in his name. To support the Todd Vogel Memorial Scholarship fund, T-shirts can be purchased through the finance and athletic windows for $10.
Join us on Thursday, August 29 at Lil Ricci's from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Please mention or show this ad to ensure that 15% of sales go to Chaparral High School's Todd Vogel Memorial Scholarship.
Fall PSAT/NMSQT Testing
Chaparral High School will be offering Sophomore and Junior students the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 9th. This is the only National Merit Qualifying Test for 11th grade students and is the practice test for the mandatory SAT exam given to all Juniors in April. The PSAT and SAT are important tests so the opportunity to practice is extremely beneficial. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, students MUST REGISTER and submit $20 through My School Bucks. Registration is now open and WILL CLOSE at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 9th. Since we must submit registration data to CollegeBoard, this is a hard deadline.
ASVAB Testing
The ASVAB will be offered at Chaparral High School on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 for any Sophomore, Junior or Senior interested in taking this test. Registered students will need to check in at 7:45 a.m. in the Commons and have a number 2 pencil and Photo ID with them.
Students should complete the registration form if they would like to take the ASVAB on October 9. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Monica Everhart at meverhart1@dcsdk12.org. The registration deadline is Friday, October 4, 2024.
