Rosewood will also be walking in both the Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya Mardi Gras Parade on March 1 and the St. Pat's Parade on March 15. Click the link below to RSVP for the parades if you are interested in walking with the Rosewood Elementary groups. More details will be sent closer to the event dates.

1st Grade Guidance classes had a special Speaker!
πMs. Gilbertβs 5th grade had a parent come in and teach our class about Chinese calligraphy for the Lunar New Year.π
4th Grade enjoyed their fieldtrip to hear the South Carolina Philharmonic at the Koger Center yesterday. The orchestra performed a concert called "The Orchestra Swings" and students participated throughout the concert by singing, playing their recorders, and dancing. Ask them to sing "I Got Rhythm" and to play "Duke's Place" on their recorders when they bring them home soon!

2025-26 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration for new students will open beginning January 9, 2025!
Please follow steps below to complete registration:
1. Go to Richlandone.org homepage
2. Click on New Student Registration via Quick Links (right hand side of main R1 page)
3. 2025-2026 New Student Registration Application
4. Create an account Or Log In
- a. New Student β create an account
- b. New Student have siblings that attend a Richland One school log into your account and select Add a new student
5. Complete the online registration process and click submit
- a. Required Documents Needed for registration
- i. Birth Certificate
- ii. Immunization Record
- iii. Two Proofs of Residency in parents name at Rosewood zoned address within 30 Days
- 1. Lease or Mortgage Statement
- 2. Water, Cable, Electric Bill, Sewer
- iv. Shared Housing Application β if living with someone and residence is not in parents name (see front office for application)
- v. Parent/Guardian Picture ID
- vi. Home Language Survey
- b. These documents can be provided one of two ways
- i. Can be uploaded at time of online registration process
- ii. Can be brought to the front office beginning 6/2/2025, 9am-3pm
- c. Once Online Registration Completed and all required documents received the following will take place
- i. Student will be loaded into database system and assigned a teacher
- ii. To qualify for Golden Ticket on-line registration and all required documentation must be received by 6/13/2025
- iii. Student/Parents/Guardians will receive a teacher assignment in the mail in August, earlier if qualify for Golden Ticket (date TBD)

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES
If your child needs to go home a different way than normal please send a note or email their teacher AND the front office at rachelle.bartlett@richlandone.org. If the person picking up in car rider or walker line is not on your pick up list, IT HAS TO BE IN WRITING by the parent for them to pick up. Last, but certainly not least, PLEASE do not call a change in after 1:45. End of day is already in motion and we want to make sure your child is in the right location to get home safely. Thank you!
