CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Change to Entrance of Campus on Monday
Change to Entrance of Campus on Monday
This message was sent to families on Friday afternoon from Principal McManigal:
Street-side construction work, which may impact your studentsβ route to school if they walk or ride bikes, is starting this Monday, February 3rd.
Construction crews will be conducting off-site work on Edison Avenue outside of Arcade Middle School from this Monday, Feb. 3 until early March. This means that the sidewalk closest to Arcade off of Edison Avenue will be blocked off entirely for pedestrians.
Students who use this route will be directed to cross the street at Annadale Lane and walk on the north side of Edison Avenue to the Watt Avenue stop light.
For a map of this route, please visit our website at sanjuan.edu/edisonwork.
The student-friendly version of this map, which clearly highlights how students may enter and exit campus, is below.
Thank you for your continued support.

PTO
Hello, Arcade Parents!
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our first PTO meeting of the school year! We had a great turnout, with 5 parents attending in person and 11 joining via Zoom. We were excited to hear updates from Arcade's principal, Lindsey McManigal, and Student Government Advisor, Peggy Frizzell! They shared some great insights into whatβs happening at Arcade and gave us a sneak peek of upcoming events.
There were plenty of lively discussions, including parent questions and comments, which are always valuable in shaping our school community. It was a great opportunity to connect with others, hear directly from the principal, and learn more about whatβs going on at Arcade. Weβll be posting the meeting minutes soon so you can catch up on everything that was covered.
Save the Date!
If you couldnβt make it to last month's meeting, we missed you and hope to see you at our next meeting on Tuesday, February 11!
Your input is key to making this year amazing for our children and school community. Come meet other parents, connect with school leadership, and stay in the loop on all the exciting things happening at Arcade. Weβd love to see you there!
