Academic Camp sessions for eligible Kindergarten - Grade 2 students will continue to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and end on Tuesday April 22, 2025.

Academic Camp sessions for eligible Grades 3-8/MYP Y3 students will also continue to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Academic Camps for these students will end on Tuesday April 29, 2025.

Grade 5 Science Camp for eligible students began this month and will conclude at the end of the fifth scheduled session.

MYP End-of-Course Academic Camps also began in April and will conclude at the end of the fifth scheduled session.

• Franklin Academy will observe Take A Child to Work Day and Beyond on Thursday, April 24, 2025, for Grade 2-8/MYP Y3 students.

• This event is a district-approved field trip and will not be counted as an absence if the completed field trip form is submitted to the school by Thursday April 17, 2025.

• As a reminder - only students in Grades 2–8/MYP Y3 are eligible to participate.

• Students may participate by spending the day at a workplace with a parent, guardian, adult relative, or family friend.

National Youth Violence Prevention Week is a week-long initiative aimed at raising awareness and educating students, staff, and the community on ways to prevent and reduce youth violence.

Activities throughout the week will highlight the positive impact students can have in creating safer schools and communities—tied to the mission of Sandy Hook Promise.
