Eagle Ridge Elementary
July 25th, 2024
Welcome Back Eagles!
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer! With school starting soon, we wanted to start communicating more to prepare our families for the first day of school on August 12th, 2024.
We have some great news to share! Broward Public School is an ‘A’ rated School District and Eagle Ridge Elementary is an ‘A’ rated Broward County Public School!
Thank YOU for the hard work, dedication, commitment from the teachers, parents, community, and students! We are an ‘A’ rated school because of YOU!! A heartfelt thank you for this achievement and the difference you make!!
Our Theme for the 2024-2025 school year is Taking Learning to New Heights. This theme captures the importance of continuing to grow and learn in the upcoming school year.
As we start to begin the new school year, we would like to provide a few reminders for you.
- Please take a moment to read over the Parent Handbook as it has vital information to make this year a success.
- We are still in the process of placing students in classes. All class placements are tentative and subject to change.
- Every student will receive a new ID/Lunch card on the first day of school. It is important that the ID stays at school and the child wears the ID while on campus.
- Carpooling, walking, or riding bikes are strongly encouraged to reduce traffic at arrival and dismissal. Review dismissal procedures with your child and communicate the method of dismissal with your teacher at Meet and Greet on August 9th. Consistency is important, pick one method for dismissal and try to stick with it. Student drop off and pick up is ONLY to take place in the car loop and NEVER in our parking lot. Car riders are dismissed out the front gates for K-2 and side gates for 3-5. Eagle Ridge will provide car signs for all car riders at the beginning of the school year. Students names and grades should be posted in the car windows. To ensure safety and expedite the flow of traffic, parents are to remain in their cars and post your car sign on your rearview mirror.
- First day arrival - Parents will be able to walk their child into the campus to the classroom the first day only. After that, parents can drop off in car line and there will be staff to assist students who need help getting to class. Parking is limited on campus and we ask that you do not park in the parking lot if the space is designated for staff members. There is no parking in the car loop for parents to pick up or drop off. We know that the first week will be hectic, but following the procedures outlined above will help us get the arrival and dismissal line running smoothly with your help!
See you at the Meet and Greet August 9th!

Meet Our New ESE Specialist
My name is Mrs. Gull and I am thrilled to be joining the dynamic staff at Eagle Ridge Elementary School as the Exceptional Student Education Specialist! With a Master of Science in Exceptional Student Education, twenty-two years in Broward County Public Schools and eight years of being an ESE Specialist I truly care for my students, and I am dedicated to cultivating relationships with their families based on mutual respect, trust, and the common goal of watching our children grow and develop. I am excited to meet your family and I am honored to have the opportunity to become a part of your child's team!
First day of school is fast approaching and before and aftercare spots are filling up quickly! If you would like your child to be in the before and/or aftercare program for the 2024/2025 school year, please click the link below to submit an application. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE AN APPLICATION COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR. This includes students previously enrolled with us. New year, new application. Please note, making a payment and not submitting an application DOES NOT secure a spot in the program(s). Site directors must review each application and approve them prior to payments being made. If you made a payment but did not submit a new application for the new school year, please do so as soon as possible.
We are excited for the new school year!

Campus Beautification
The Mohawk Tribe came out to Eagle Ridge to help with a campus clean up on July 24 as part of a service project. Indian Princess is a father daughter group serving Broward and Palm Beach Counties, Florida since 1994. We would like to thank the Mohawk Tribe for helping to beautify the campus as we prepare to welcome staff, students, and parents back to Eagle Ridge on August 12th!
The program is different from scouting, sports teams, and many other activities because it is specifically intended to be a parent AND child organization. Our members join the program specifically because father and daughter want to spend more time together. This program provides a wealth of opportunities and settings you are unlikely to find otherwise.
