November is Native American Heritage Month
We are Grateful!
Thanksgiving is November 28th, 2024

The following resources are free from our Brooklyn Public Library. A library card is required. Our public librarian and our MyLibraryNYC librarian will be in the Dewey library periods 4 through 8 on November 20 to sign students and staff up for library cards. Take advantage of the programs for homework help, test prep and many other activities. All free with a library card.

There is an English version of the website and a Spanish version.

Get access to major magazines and journals to read on your smartphone, tablet, or PC. Check out Flipster's getting started guide here. To get the free Flipster app, search for "Flipster" in either Google Play or Apple's App Store

Join our book review team!
- Review books for service credit. You can earn service credit for your reviews. Reviews will be posted in our online Destiny catalog and posted with QR codes in the books as well. Get your friends on the reading bandwagon with your honest assessment of our books.
Some changes in the library
New Policies
- Our hours have changed. The library is open periods 1 through 8. This was necessary to keep the Makerspace open during all lunch periods.
- Cell phones are no longer permitted. Chromebooks are available for check out.
The library website provides access to:
- Our Destiny Catalog to search for books
- The Citywide Digital Library and SORA for thousands of additional eBooks and audio books
- Our databases from NOVELny and the Teen Health & Wellness database
- Information about library programming and upcoming events
