Principal Message
Hello Waubesa Families,
Spring time is very busy and exciting. There are only eight weeks left to the school year and still many activities and learning opportunities to come. We’re so excited to continue with many of our traditional spring programs and learning opportunities for our students including fourth and fifth the Art and Music Shows, field trips, and the Olympiad to name a few. The fourth grade Art and Music Show is on April 15 and the fifth grade is on April 29 at Waubesa. The times for upstairs and downstairs are outlined above in the “Dates to Remember” section. See you there!
Also this week is our first ever Family Fun Night on Thursday, April 18 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Please be aware that we will open the Door A promptly at 4:30 pm at Door A (front of the building) to allow our volunteers ample time to get set up and organized. It’s also important to note that the entire event is Free and is drop-in style which means you can come and go as it fits into your evening schedule. A special Shout Out to the following people who are supporting this awesome event. Thank you to…
The EC-8 PTO for their support and collaboration.
Families and other community members who are volunteering or donating items for the event.
Waubesa teachers for planning, organizing, and volunteering.
High school students who are volunteering.
We’re excited to announce that we’ll again have the Olympiad, rain or shine, on Friday, May 31. More details to come, including an opportunity to volunteer.
Forward Exam Testing wrapped up last week. All that’s left to do are make-up tests this week. Way to go Waubesa students and staff! Thank you, families again, for supporting your students and us during the Forward Exam. Results will be released and shared by DPI to schools later in the summer; we’ll then share the results with families.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Please reach out with any questions you may have.

Health Services
Parent/Guardian & Emergency Contact Information
Emergencies can happen at any time, so it is crucial that school staff, especially Health Services staff, are able to get in contact with a parent/guardian or an emergency contact during the school day. Please take a moment to review your students' listed emergency contacts in the IC parent portal to ensure the information listed is the most current. If there are special circumstances where you know you will not be available for calls during a specific time of day or if school staff should utilize an alternate phone number such as an office line, please ensure that this is communicated and/or make sure that your listed emergency contacts are aware of this, as health office staff may need to contact them if your student is seen in the health office and parent/guardian notification is required. To make changes to your emergency contacts please see here for steps to update contact information. Thank you for our partnership in helping to keep our students safe and healthy!
