Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Message from the Principal
Please remember that the school is closed tomorrow for Father Wagner's funeral. We are expecting more than 700 people on campus for the services and are broadcasting the service into the auditorium for overflow. So, please join us if you can. It would be great to have students present in their uniforms. The funeral will begin at 10 am and there will be a reception immediately following in the school auditorium. The funeral will be celebrated by Archbishop Sartain, the bishops, and dozens of priests. Please arrive early, as parking will be difficult. Also, you are welcome to drop off a side dish or dessert (for the funeral reception) this afternoon or tomorrow morning between 8 & 9 am at the school.
If you cannot make the funeral, but would like to pay your respects this evening, the Vigil will be held at Visitation Church tonight from 6 - 9 pm. There will be refreshments immediately following the Vigil. Also, you are welcome to be present at the burial on Thursday at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle at 10 am.
Blessings,

Father Wagner's Obituary
Father Michael Wagner, beloved Priest, son, and brother, passed away Wednesday May 2nd at the age of 48 after suffering an inoperable brain hemorrhage on April 10th. He died surrounded by his family, friends, and parishioners. Fr Michael was the eldest son of Maria and Andrew Wagner and oldest of 5 children.
Fr Michael grew up in communist Poland and immigrated to the United States at the age of 15. After graduating from Seattle University in Economics and Finance he worked in Finance and eventually opened his own business - Insomniax Coffee - in Seattle. Later, Michael chose to answer God’s call and entered the seminary within the Archdiocese of Seattle and was ordained in 2011.
Fr Michael served in several parishes around the Seattle area including St Mary Magdalene in Everett, St Michaels in Olympia, St Joseph and St John in Elma and Montesano, and most recently he was the Priest Administrator for Holy Rosary and Visitation Parishes and Schools in Tacoma WA.
Fr Michael was a genuine soul which reflected the Peace and Love that only God can impart. He touched so many lives and brought so much Joy and Light into the world. One of his favorite quotes was from the late G.K. Chesterton, “When people cease to believe in God, the danger is not that they will believe nothing, but rather that they will believe anything.” No one who met Fr Michael ever went away unchanged.
If you would like to drop off a card and/or donation for Father Wagner's family, please address it to Maria and Andrew Wagner and drop it off at the school or church office.
Eternal rest grant unto Father Michael, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace.
Amen.
