๐ฏStaff Spotlight๐ฏ
This week, we highlight Mrs. Cirenza, a dedicated educator who has been inspiring students for 17 years, with the past six spent at Lansdowne Middle School. Her journey into education was influenced by her role as the oldest of five siblings, two of whom had significant learning disabilities. Helping her siblings develop a love of learning sparked her passion for teaching and set her on the path to becoming an educator. At LMS, she feels privileged to work with what she believes are the most amazing students. She finds joy in having a positive impact on their educational journey, helping them believe in themselves and reach their full potential.
A particularly rewarding aspect of her career is when former students reach out to share their achievements, whether itโs excelling in high school or applying to programs that align with their passions. Hearing these updates affirms the importance of her role in empowering students to realize their potential and serves as a reminder of the bright future they represent.
Outside of work, Mrs. Cirenza loves to travel and immerse herself in different cultures, a passion she shares with her four children. Together, they explore new ideas, visit museums, and appreciate art, enriching their perspectives and experiences.
Her favorite quote is from Martin Luther King Jr.: โDarkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.โ These powerful words reflect her belief in the transformative power of positivity and compassion.
If she could have a superpower, she would choose the ability to be in multiple places at once. She often wishes she could multiply herself to accomplish everything she needs and to be present wherever support is needed, ensuring her students receive the best possible guidance and care.
Do You Need Translation Services?
LMS is here to support our parent community. If you need translation support for job applications, bills or something else, we are here to help. We have a dedicated translator here every Tuesday and Thursday that can support you. Sign up for a time slot here.
Weekly Attendance Tip
We want our attendance champions to beware, flu and cold season picks up in November. We all must do our part in encouraging proper hygiene (handwashing, covering coughs) and ensuring that students dress appropriately for colder weather. Seek medical care when needed but try to limit unnecessary absences.
Continue to have a happy, safe & successful school year! Be sure to be #HereForIt!
