Senior Year Notes
Senior Project
This week seniors had their first panel meeting to share and discuss their Senior Project planners! During the meeting, students had to talk about their projects, receive feedback from their panel members, reflect on their progress so far, and ultimately were marked “pass” or “no pass” in PowerSchool. As a parent, you can check this in PowerSchool now. You can also see comments from their mentor with specific action items should the student not have passed this panel meeting yet. If your child received an NP, you will be getting a follow up email from your child's mentor about the next steps. At this point in the Senior Project journey, an NP usually indicates students were missing an item or two and this can easily be fixed over the next week or two.
With our revision of Senior Project and in alignment with our values as a school, one goal is to collect student feedback to ensure students have a voice in the process. Students will complete their first Senior Project feedback form this Wednesday in Advisory. Additionally, we want to send a special thanks to the 30 community members who are volunteering their time to be part of Senior Project panels. Their voice and expertise are an important part of our students’ learning journey in this capstone project.
Community Council
This week on council we concluded our discussion of the appeal of the Rank by Request proposal. By a vote of 22-16, Council voted to uphold the appeal, which overturned the Rank by Request proposal.
Our next meeting will be Monday, 12/9 at 3:00 in the Info Center.

Earth Systems Science Teacher
How long have you been with Souhegan?
This is my 17th year at Souhegan. I was here for 16 years and left for two years to be the Athletic Director at ConVal High School.
What do you love about your job?
I love getting to spend my time with some of the most amazing people I have met in my life, which includes staff and students. People and the relationships we build with them is the most important part of who we are as a community. It makes Souhegan a place where I have the opportunity to be myself and help foster a space we all want to be a part of.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like spending time with my family and friends doing all sorts of things, such as birdwatching, hiking, fishing, playing basketball, watching basketball, playing music, listening to music, and just about anything else you can think of.
If you were given one wish what would it be?
Love and peace between everyone in the world...and save this beautiful place for the future generations of all living creatures.
Do you have a favorite quote or mantra?
Believe in family.
